Making of the Cibo Bambino
SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR CIBO

Q: What takes four days, a guitar builder and set designer, a scissor lift, 2,000 coffee cups, countless tubes of liquid nails and looks like a Fiat 500c?
A: The latest installation art for CIBO Espresso.

Promoting its newest competition to win a Fiat 500c, a billboard in Gouger Street, Adelaide, has become the basis for unique installation.

The life-size Fiat took four days to build and was transported in sections before being erected in Gouger Street.

Following a concept by local advertising agency JAM, the Fiat was recreated out of takeaway cups by local talent James Parker, who can normally be found designing sets for TV commercials and Eric Gittens who is more at home producing guitars.

CIBO Marketing Director, Roberto Cardone says there are similarities between the work ethic of his company and the production of the Fiat installation.

“There’s a certain level of craftsmanship at CIBO – everything is made by hand from the coffee to the pastries.

“And the same sort of craftsmanship has gone into producing this billboard.

“So we liked the comparisons when we saw the initial concepts.”

The unique installation will stay in Gouger Street for the month of December.
