Eileen Lubiana has taken the $10,000 CIBO Galleria grand prize for her painting ‘Dusk’
Eileen, who trained at the Adelaide Central School of Art, will also see her painting featured on 200,000 CIBO Espresso takeaway cups throughout June.
A panel of industry professionals, including Samela Harris (The Advertiser) and Lance Campbell (SA Life) went on to select an overall winner from the 12 finalists in the series of seasonal art exhibitions final twelve.
CIBO Galleria was launched in February last year as an annual event, which enabled nearly 70 talented artists to show their work to up to 65,000 patrons each week in 10 CIBO Espresso bars across Adelaide.
CIBO Galleria featured four seasonal exhibitions and awards, each named after colours in Italian to reflect the seasons: Giallo (yellow for summer), Arancio (orange for autumn), Nero (grey for winter) and Verde (green for Spring).
Three People’s Choice Awards to the value of $1000 were presented to the most popular artworks in each of the four seasonal exhibitions. Eileen Lubiana’s ‘Dusk’ won the People’s Award at CIBO Norwood.
