Artist: Liza Merkalova
Artist Statement:
Liza studied at the Art School, Minsk and the Polygraph Institute, Moscow receiving a graduate diploma in Visual Arts, majoring in oil painting.
Liza is a traditional artist who paints portraits, figures, subject paintings and still lifes. Liza uses a symbolic style to expore people’s relationships or the inner world of an individual. Most of these works are reflections of her own personality and the desire to connect with the human in others.
