Artist Statement:

Gay’s creativity has been expressed over the years in multiple forms, painting, sketching, figurines, scuplture and more, but has found her true passion in portrait art.  Through this medium she not only emulates the image of my subject, but honour their life, personality and character.
For this Cibo exhibition Gay has provided two very different forms of art, one being fashion illustration and the other rich and deep in oils.  I have depicted in the illustrations the exaggerated life of the fashion world with bold extravagance and in the rich oils a stylised realism - all protraying the beauty of women.
