Artist Statement:
After winning the inaugural Kodak Nickon Supershot Award in 1984, Chris embarked on a career as a cinematographer and photographers. He has worked for SA television and feature movies as a cinematographer and has won a number of Australian Cinematographer Society awards. When travelling, most of us are happy to take a few happy snaps. These snaps become quite another thing when it’s a professional photo-grapher touring Europe with and ensemble of Australia’s best dancers. Inspired by the classic. European street photo-graphers of the 30’s and 40’s. Chris has created a striking set of images using dancer Riannon McLean to put a distinctly 21st century Australian twist into classic grand vistas.
