Artist Statement:
Mary Ann Santin has consistently shown in group art shows in SALA and the Adelaide Festival Fringe since 2007.
This series,‘Flotsam and Jetsam’, captures the notion of fragility and movement. The layers of glazed oils placed and removed upon the Belgian linen further plays with the ‘art of the reveal’ until the composition is complete.
Mary Ann’s work can be found in homes and offices across Australia, Hong Kong and The Hague, Netherlands.
