Artist Statement:

Animals and birdlife have always been a part of my life, having lived rural, including farming properties whilst growing up. I have been fortunate to care for many of them in their natural environment. This has allowed colour, shape and texture to be observed up close. My art has had to take second place since leaving school due to studying; Bachelor of Nursing and currently Post Graduate in Midwifery. Drawing is my escape from study and I long for when I can start a piece of work that I can get totally absorbed into again.
